Dear Sarah,

I would like to offer some advice on how you may better access information on the design industry and design practice. Whilst recently searching for information myself, I found that the Internet was a great resource. Using keywords like ‘design practice’ and ‘design industry’, and looking for links within the pages themselves are great starting points.

Bookmark the pages you find useful and sign up for their RSS feeds to stay up-to-date with their latest posts and start following designers on Twitter and Facebook too. Share your information with other colleagues and friends via word-of-mouth or start your own blog where others may benefit from your found resources. I have added these links for you to have a look at.

It may also be a good idea for you have a read over the legal or ethical issues that may arise within the Industry, as there are several concerns which may arise. Here are some links in which to start you off. Two of which are pdf’s for you to print out and keep on hand.

All the best with your research.
